Derrick W. Blakey, a veteran jogger, began his interest in
printing t-shirts after accumulating t-shirts while participating in various runs in the early 80's. Then he discovered a
street merchant who sold interesting phrases. Blakey bought those phrases and produced them on t-shirts. The street merchant
(Bro. Curtis) later submitted the God Concept to Blakey before vanished without a trace. After Blakey understood the
concept, he began to develop phrases (Truth Slogans) on his own.
Since the time, Blakey has developed also an Awareness Box, Getto Chess
game, cartoons, poetry, and business a workshop presentation.
Blakey (nephew of late renowned jazz musician Art Blakey) said that he owes
his development to the creative force and the people who unselfishly shared their knowledge with him.
